club

The Kahler Outdoors club provides an opportunity for hunters to join a smaller style club/membership to get in on all of our best hunts! You will hunt with Danny and a group of other members. The club is a perfect fit for those that want to hunt multiple times throughout the season, but don't want to worry about the hassle of obtaining leases, putting in pits/blinds or buying decoys. Kahler Outdoors does the hard part for you, we get the property, set up the pits or ground blinds, provide decoys and expertise calling. All you have to do is show up, participate in the decoy setup/takedown and bring a good attitude. We welcome those who would like to participate in the calling, but you are not required to do so.

The club is completely separate from our guided hunts. It's all about enjoying hunts with like minded hunters, making new friends and simply enjoying our passion for waterfowl hunting together as a group. All members get to hunt with us on prime private ground located in some of the most waterfowl enriched locations of Northern Colorado. Our goal is to make you feel like you are part of the crew.

  • $600 upfront membership fee

  • $100 per hunt fee

  • Club members will have first rights to hunt, however if there is an open spot guests may be allowed at $150 per hunt fee (guests are limited to 2 hunts per season). Allowing a guest may be rejected if we do not feel it fits the upcoming hunt even if the membership quota hasn’t been reached.

  • Youth may also be allowed as guests at $75 per hunt fee (guests are limited to 2 hunts per season).

What this is NOT…

  • An opportunity for members to hunt on their own or utilize our properties in any way.

  • An opportunity to get your dog out hunting. We do not allow members to bring dogs on hunts, as we run our own dogs.

  • An opportunity to be a part of a big party hunt where its just a big free-for-all. We want everyone to get an opportunity to shoot their limit on each hunt and we take this seriously.

Members need to understand that we hunt in large groups of upwards of 9 hunters. This is because we set large decoy spreads that can be upwards of 80 dozen decoys. Members must be physically fit enough to set and pickup such large spreads of decoys.

Members need to understand that it is expected for EVERYONE on the hunt to stay the duration of the hunt to help in decoy pick up. Hunts do not have a time clock, they are over when we decide they are over. That being said, we rarely hunt all day. Most of our hunts are morning only, with occasional afternoon only hunts. If for any reason there is a conflict of a members time allotted for a hunt, it can be discussed prior to the hunt where we can decide what is going to be in the best interest of the hunt and other members.

A member’s weekday flexibility to hunt is in their best interest. We do a lot of hunting during the weekdays. Members limited to weekend hunts only will find that opportunities may be fewer. However we do hunt on weekends as well.

There is no set schedule as to days we hunt. Flexibility is beneficial to members as well as our success. We tried this in the past and found that choosing days to hunt in the future yielded lesser results in our success. We try to give as much notice as possible with this in mind. Yes, we have hunts that are last minute (put together the day before) and we understand this doesn’t work for some members. We also will have hunt days planned 48-72 hours in advance with some being planned out even further in the future. We do not hunt on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Hunts are normally scheduled via test message. We keep our memberships very limited, however all members cannot hunt every hunt. If we send the invite your way, you can refuse as many times as you would like. This doesn’t mean we will stop sending the invite. We understand we have members who will only hunt a couple times a year and some that hunt as much as possible. This membership doesn’t favor someone who wants to hunt a lot during the season. It is ideal for members looking to hunt 3-8 times per season, however you can opt to hunt more if you would like, there is no limit. If you have accepted to come on the hunt, we expect you to be there. No shows without us being contacted beforehand are very highly frowned upon. We understand stuff happens and things come up, just let us know.

We want members to feel as if they are part of the gang. We have successfully achieved this and have made many friends. We run a laid-back atmosphere as much as possible and want everyone to get to know each other and have a good time. We want members to learn and we encourage questions. We are willing to educate when possible.

Safety is our number one priority and something we take seriously. Failure of safety rules will not be tolerated.

This is a Canada goose targeting hunting club/membership only. Duck hunts and snow goose hunts are not a part of the membership. We do, however, have the opportunity at times to turn a hunt into a combo hunt. Meaning if while we are hunting Canada geese and have the opportunity to shoot snows and ducks, we sure will! This does happen from time to time.

The amount we hunt depends on the predicted success. We are not out to just take money and sit in a spread knowing that success is unlikely. We can experience slow times during the season and we try to wait these moments out. If the hunting is good, we are after them hard and if it’s slow, we take some time off. Members have appreciated this.

We know this is a lot of information. If you have made it this far and are still on the fence as to whether this is fitting for you, the best thing to do from here is contact us. We can set up a phone conversation to better explain what we have to offer and work through any questions or concerns you may have.
